MediaWiki would probably be a good choice then.

I use DokuWiki, it has no need for database but still excellent performance / multi user / revisions etc

I find it much easier to maintain and use than MediaWiki.

It is mature well maintained and has a large user base. Also with lots of plugins for additional functionality etc.

It is PHP based, and since you are using phpBB I guess that is ok :-)
