Check the circuit again.
Check the crystal.
Check your USB cable.

Well Now windows do nothing when put it. :?: ... I checked everything, I think the firmware doesn't work on my winXP, even I test others firmwares form this forum (Firmware Megadrum CDC 18F2550 12MHz.hex). At least windows recognize it and ask for drivers.
I burn the pic with the semifluid's PIC18F2550 USB HID Oscilloscope, and works very well!!
I realized that my computer's front USB are connected with no armored wire, and some usb diveces doesn't work well in these connectors, like IDE USB enclosures. I thought in this ... but nothing.
I tried before the Robert Lang's MIDI-Nator USB MIDI interface, with the 18F2455, windows recognize it but sometimes gets crash while sends data, and when put it when the MIDI connectors are plugged ... gets crash ... I don't know whats happen!!! ... it's frustrating. Thanks for the help :D

Hello,
Can this work with 20MHz crystal because I have one soldered on my prototype? Is there 20MHz version?

Hey Guys

A friend of mine has a Fame DD-602, wich only uses Midi-out to comunicate midi messages with other devices, including a PC.

With this autonomous interface, is it possible to use it as a standalone MIDI-USB interface, that enables the DD-602 drum module to communicate with a pc through USB?

Synthex,

Thanks very much for this project. I tried at least 6 different usbmidi firmwares but none worked properly - until yours - first time, with Dimitri's pull up resistor to pin 22 on a PIC18F2455. (Don't know whether the resistor is required for this firmware, but it works ok in any case).

BTW I used it in XP

Hello, I am beginner as I have some doubts in purchasing the components.

Following is the list:

1 - Capacitor 100 nF
2 - Capacitor 22pF
1 - Capacitor 470 nF
1 - 1 uF Capacitor
5 - Resistor 220K
1 - 12 MHz Crystal
1 - 1N4148 Diode
1 - PIC18F2550
1 - 6N138
2 - MIDI
1 - USB

You wanted to know the voltages of the capacitors.
- What is 1/4W resistor 220K, 1/8W ... ?
- The 6N138 may be replaced by another? Here ta hard to find. (I live in Brazil)
- The crystal may be 20 MHz?

Thank you for attention
