Glad you're making progress. Discussing and questioning things is always good as long as it's kept civil, so fire away mate!

Well:
- I changed curve to log3custom4, decreased threshold and Retriger mask, dinTime and dinlevel are on 0,minscan lowered too and thats it. I just tried to make pad more sensitive so I can have good velocity on zones beside center spot. And for hi hat I increased HiLevel value, put curve back to log1 and little playing with parametres that I mentioned. My hats are weakest part of the kit, I'm thinking about buying maybe VH11, I dont know...
Theres still bunch of things to do, but drumset is better from day to day. One day I will accomplish that feeling as close as possible, until then step by step.
Intentions are essential, my are not bad so I'm good with that ascertainment ignotus.

I tried another type of piezo for rim sensor and it works better. It's a stick piezo which guitarists use below guitar bridge. There are two types-flexible and solid.

Triggering and rimshots are more accurate than with just standard piezo disc. You can attach them even directly on drum hoop.

Hi Privatex,
How do you have mounted the Rim Piezo?
A lot of people just glue it on to the shell but it must be fixed horizontally(same direction as Head Piezo) on the shell with a bracket for Example.
Like this it captures much better Rim Hits.
I read this on the Vdrum forum once. And infact it works much better.

It's logical indeed, force come from stick through hoop/screws/lugs finally to the some L profil (wood shell is just an extra barrier for vibrations). I stuck piezo with epoxy on bottom side of hoop, but before I tried this piezo in stick I used disc piezo on wood shell (it had poor, inaccurate signals).
I like vdrums.com too, there's a bunch of good DIY advices.
Cheers.

Hi Privatex,

Glueing it with Epoxy is not the best solution.
The piezo needs to swing freely for best trigger results.
For this, doubleface tape(+-1mm thick) is good.
I positioned it exactly in the midle.
For me it is the best solution.

It seems that you didn't catch which piezo I used to replace disc piezo. Its piezo in stick for acoustic guitars which I glue directly to the drum hoop and works better for me.
