The MegaDrum Module is a nice investment!!

Hi Dmitri.

Just want to say thanks for a very nice delivery of the MegaDrum Module. (32 Channels)

I hooked it up – drivers came up fine in W7 SP1 x64…Opened MegaDrum Manager and made a firmware update. Loaded my pre-configured MegaDrum Manager file (Which I built off-line reading the forum for my Roland RT-10S triggers, CY-8, VH11, RT-10K…) and finally loaded XLN-Audio Addictive Drums where I also had pre-configured a complete drummap for MegaDrum & Sound Setup.

I can just say – the first impression of the MegaDrum Box using the sticks on the snare was GREAT!!! Of course some fine tuning of the settings are needed…but just for testing the system for the first time…My rating is 10 points of 10,,,

I like that you are showing your set up with no background music. Videos like this actually make a huge inpact on people who are considering edrums. A job very well done :) .

Bean!

Many thanks - I did not even think about that (music in the background)...:-) I wanted to show that MegaDrum works with Roland triggers and that the sound using products like Addictive Drum plug-in etc gives advantages against fixed sound drumboxes, as we normally are used to. Also giving back my configuration findings to the MegaDRUM forum was a another goal! Next movie which will be posted, will be from the stage using the setup live! Stay Tuned!

Best Regards

Hi again!
Just for fun I did place a Video CAM when rehearsing with the band. Not top performance from the band (including the drummer :D ) but I am using my complete setup with MegaDRUM, Addictive Drums and Roland triggers. I am still not satisfied with my hithat configuration...but I am working on it. The video sound is recorded directly from the room...so you can actually hear my acoustic hits - which is a bit confusing. However, the video perhaps shows some of the feeling of MegaDRUM and how fast it actually triggers! Some configuration steps still need to be done!

your link for reading about your complete drum project did not work. This one does "http://powerhell.wordpress.com/about/zourman/poor-mans-td-20", got it from the end of your video ;)

If you close you eyes and listen to this video then it sounds like a normal first rehearsal, awesome job on your edrum setup!

p.s. I had to do a lot of practices before I started sounding as good as your rehearsal video.

Thanks Bean! You are too nice...!! After all tweaking...I am going to be a player again - I promise!!)

The link is now fixed in my message also!

I am going to post my findings soon in a new update package for MegaDRUM/Addictive Drums.

Best Regards

Hi all!

My my band went out and made a live performance at a Microsoft Sweden event yesterday.

As usual i had my gears with MegaDrum and Addictive Drums Metal ADpak, Quartz on hareness, 8 separate channels sound card etc...and I am guessing that not many in the audience reflected that I was playing on a digital drumset. I am also guessing the sound was quite good also. (Performance nervs..I selected the wrong snare in Ad...and forgot about my predefined room effects)

My MegaDrum made a good job with Positional sensing enabled on the snare and Ps on the three zone ride.

Things can always get better...especially the old guy who is playing...
