A position sensitive midi drum pad - Instructables

Hello everyone!

I just found this on Instructables a very interesting web page... I'm a total ignorant about programming so i cannot undestand if it's a good material but maybe someone of you can get inspired, maybe to improve MD as well!

Haha, yeah I posted that on vdrums. I was more fascinated with the dude that made it than the drum itself! :mrgreen: He looks like a mad scientist!

Thinking outside the box (by about 15ms).
Aquawicket had a similar technique for positional sensing. It's not the way to go - the maths for a vibrating circular membrane are very well documented if you can be bothered to look.

But I must admit; square pads can be set up without hitting those annoying spaces.

This is what the web is for, he deserves support with his ideas... and a shower.
