I am going to dissect your MDS file...Yes..It looks a bit different.. :-)
How was it now..was your hihat also a DYI? Not a FD-8?

Best Regards

Anders

yo, the Controller is an fd-8 and the hat is a cy-5... but both are modified... the footcontroller is modified by soldering a 10k resisotor beteween tip and ring. the cy-5 is from the botoom on modified. have changed wiring, piezo mounting, pizo....

That sounds really good. Great dynamic range. The soud quality from youtube is not great but is that a sizzle on the second cymbal?

I am not sure about the sizzeling thing..no. 2 is a china cymbal...if you run the youtube video in HD format you will get the best sound also. The sound is directly recorded on the AD host machine in 24bit/96 khz.

In fact it's an error in showing wiring for the Snare and the HiHat cymbal:) Head/Rim and Bow/Edge wires are incorrectly swapped when going to the jacks. I will fix it in the kit's pdf.

Thanks for clearing things up Dmitri! I thought I was going crazy for a bit when it just didn't make sense to me...

For anyone else who might be interested, this means that the connectors/pins in MegaDrum schematics for a TRS symbol are identified as follows:

Thanks again Dimitri.

Puhh! This is the answer! I also had this problem when I tested my first DIY-pad made from a half 12" tom. I read the schematics, compred with the pasd-connectors list and thougt I'm silly. For test I changed the Piezos internally in the pad and all worked.
So I have to resolder all the jacks for the pads in my megadrum. :-(

Hi!
I have just for fun have started to collect settings for the most common PADS, Triggers and Cymbals on the market for use with the MegaDRUM trigger device! (I was unable to store them on the MegaDRUM forum, so I have created my own page for the moment)

This is a nice jumpstart of a library for you ones that is not tweakers!
All files are saved in the MegaDRUM SYX file format, which is easy way to both import and export drums as an individually settings in MegaDRUM Manager.

Note: All settings are very sensitive to the related firmware. So using a old firmware might cause problems with the posted SYX files. Rule - Always update your firmware to use the fruit of new goodies.

Visit the MegaDRUM PAD Library:

Do you have a working E-Pad/Trigger/Cymbal for MegaDRUM which is not listed in above and you want to share this to other drummers? - Please send me a mail with the PAD name, Trigger type & MD firmware version + the zipped SYX file to ANGR77 on this forum.
