The circuit is contained within the jack, which is riveted into the plastic disk of the cymbal, then a rubber mat adhered on top of that. So in the interest of not ripping these triggers apart, I think it is what it is. I did manage to rewire voltage dividers for cymbal Bow and bypassed the ring, so I will reconfigure and test a little bit later. Why do you suppose a touch trigger has not been implemented by such large producers as Roland and Yamaha?!
