First time user - a wee bit nervous - first issue.

Postby Teko_Bum » Thu Jan 21, 2021 3:37 am

Kia ora!

I purchased a 32 input module about a month ago.

I'm about to hook it all up and I have no cables to go from the pads to the module.

What are the cables I'll be needing?

I have

x2 Roland cy-8's
X1 cy-5
X3 of those toms (not mesh)
X1 pdx-8

Pretty much everything that comes with the TD-17 kl

Any help is appreciated.

This is my first time trying to configure this thing, I'm nervous.

Cheers.

You'll need cables with male 6.35 TRS jacks at either end. TRS are stereo, and while some of your pads are likely single zone (mono), stereo cables won't do any harm and will come in useful if you ever swap those pads for dual (stereo) ones.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Just a note about using a stereo cable with a single zone pad/cymbal - disable the unused Edge/Rim input as the unconnected wire in the stereo cable will act as an areal picking up electromagnetic noise.
