What trigger signal is optimal for MegaDrum?

Postby Rovalo » Wed Nov 11, 2020 10:47 pm

Hello Dmitri,

Since I have some inconsistent triggering, I thought measuring the trigger signal could help to optimise the pad mechanically.
Can you tell what wave form I should strive for to works best for MegaDrum?

Knowing this, maybe I can modify the pads to give more consistent trigger signals.
The heads are Vdrum-Remo mesh heads and the trigger cones are in the center of the head.

Well, an optimal signal would be a single positive sine half wave without any subsequent after hit signal. And level of this signal is consistently relative to the hit strength.
What sort of inconsistency are you having?
