Hihat lvl Jumping Values

Postby Russ15 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:08 pm

Background info:
On current firmware version
Hi-Hat controller: DIY hall effect sensor
Hi level: 204
Low level : 38

When hi hat pedal is left all the way open (foot not on pedal) or when it is all the way closed, the value jumps around 4-6 levels higher and lower.

For example with level at 204 it will jump between 198-204 rapidly on the display. The same occurs with the pedal depressed only the value jumps up between 38-43 rapidly.

After updating to the latest firmware I started adjusting my pedal settings and it started doing this. Not sure if anyone else has experienced something like this or if it something with my settings.

Thanks in advance. Happy to provide more of the settings once I get home.

This looks normal and is due to electrical noise. Does it present any real problem with the HiHat controller?

Thanks Dmitri. I can set the max and min values to be whatever the lowest/highest value is shown on the display so I can get a fully open and fully closed sound.

So in theory it is not an issue, I just wasn't sure if this was normal or not. Thanks for the clarification.
