Hi-Hat configuration

Postby Madz » Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:40 pm

Hello everyone !

I'm having troubles configuring my hi-hat ! everything is set up perfectly and even after extensive readings on the hi hat configuration page and the forum i cannot find a solution !
So this is my problem : I combined a vh 11 motion sensor with a yamaha pcy 135 (budget reasons but also these are good cymbals ) and it seems everytime i hit the hi hat it presses a bit on the sensor so i only have two configurations open and closed . i can't get any expressiveness with the hi hat and i don't know if its a hardware problem (i which case ill just buy the rhh155 from yamaha and sell the vh11 sensor ) or a configuration problem . i'm using megadrum with SP3 so maybe it comes from there too . i'm kinda lost and believe me i wouldnt bother you if i hadn't done the reading necessary .
thx for you time !

AFAIK you need to add a 10k - 15k resistor between tip and ring of the hi hat controller to get a proper range.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.
