How do I choose the correct components?

For example, on the 'buying components' page, it gives a link for a 1mF capacitor (MCCB1V105M2ACB). Does it HAVE to be this model, or will any 1mF capacitor do? I'm in way over my head as it is with this project, and the last thing I want to happen if I commit is to order incorrect components.
