There must be something else involved. I just tried to toggle AltSampling several times both from MDMFX and from the module itself and I just could not reproduce the problem.
Can you start MegaDrum with default settings and see if the problem still there?

Ignotus Hi would you mind posting your typical misc and rim/edge settings from the snare, I cannot seem to lower the threshold without causing double triggers

regards

Here's a screenshot of my snare settings. It's all in blue because I'm on another PC not connected to MD. However, being a DIY pad, I doubt my settings will be of any use to you.

If I start MD with default settings the problem goes away. I'll attach my config file so you can see if you can spot anything there.

Thank you for testing! I've updated the latest firmware version to include the fix.

Hello Dmitri,

I started from scratch setting up MD with the 20181218 firmware using noise filtering at max level 9 and AltSamplingAlg active.

I was hoping the noise filtering would solve an old issue False kick triggers when releasing HH pedal.
Result: together with HH high level reduction to 130 (by a 100kE resistor on V+), the noise reduction completely solves the open HH crosstalk to kick input 1 issue :D. Thanks!

The only warning you mentioned about a too high noise filtering setpoint is related to positional sensing, I will not need that. But before I continue setting up more pads, can you confirm that continuing with noise level reduction at max level 9 is OK and should only give better results than lower levels and has no other disadvantages?
Kind regards, Rob.

No disadvantages I can think of. You may need to adjust Threshold levels on switch inputs compared to old algorithm without noise filtering.

Thanks, then I continue with these settings and will adjust all threshold levels.
Kind regards, Rob.
