Dmitri, thank you! It works. Now I can disable bell chokes)
dmitri wrote:If I understand this right then it should work just the same with MegaDrum, does it not?

I am trying this on a Roland CY-13R with limited success. The bell is triggering fine, and the edge is triggering, but the bow is not triggering at all.
I am a bit confused if input 2 (bow/edge) should be piezo/switch or yamaha/switch etc. I have seen various examples and the guide doesn't really specify the 1st of the 2nd input.
Note 1 = 56 in this case (yellow). Seems like this keeps happening even if I set it to Piezo again.
Attached the settings. Thanks!

1. Pressing the bell switch, do you get choking (Aftertouch On/Off MIDI messages)?
2. Does the bell switch make when you press it?
3. Did you try to raise Threshold on the Bell input?

1) no
2) no
3) yes, no luck.

I feel like I am in the weeds here, The bow is triggering on DampenedNote in 8/9 no matter if Treshold is 0 or 100.
Edge is barely triggering, but when it does it's also DampenedNote...

BELL is jack input 5, BOW/EDGE is jack input 6 on the Megadrum 56 that was made.

Could it be that the megadrum module is broken somehow? I loaded old settings from slot. Edge and choke does not trigger at all...
Maybe I can send it back for analysis

If the bell switch doesn't make when you press it then the problem is with cymbal and with this switch in particular. MegaDrum can detect the bell zone hits if the the bell switch "makes".

Thank you!

I get distinctive bell hit (hard to get right) and a bow hit.
But no edge and no aftertouch (choke).
I get aftertouch messages when I squeeze it if I connect to the next "Tom" jack (7). Really weird

Bell is connected to jack input 5 from left, Bow/edge is connected to jack input 6.

Code: Select all
   0,232   10  0x99  0x38  0x00  G# 3  Note Off
   0,118   10  0x99  0x38  0x11  G# 3  Note On
   0,232   10  0x99  0x38  0x00  G# 3  Note Off
   1,649   10  0x99  0x35  0x49  F  3  Note On
   0,233   10  0x99  0x35  0x00  F  3  Note Off

Why is it triggering on DampenedNote?
