Has anyone "upgraded" by buying a newer unit? I got my MegaDrum about 5 years ago, so I imagine I would benefit.

Everybody, who ordered modules/kits from me in the past, get a 10% discount for new orders.

You can read about advantages of the new ARM based Megadrum in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2079 and viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2418

Hi, i'm from Brazil and i have interesting in your product. Is it possible to send the kit to Brazil? I am planning to use it as a midi controller for my drm (diy) and future zendrum, using sounds from computer or ever ipad.

Thanks!

Hi dmitri,

i am thinking about buying a megadrum-arm-modul-version with positional sensing. At the moment i own a td-6v all roland setup (2 cy-8, 1 cy-12c, 1 cy-12rc, 3 PD-85, 1 pd-105, 1 pd-125, 1 kd-8, vh-11) and addictive drums 2. So here are my questions:

1) I'd like to know if megadrum (with newest firmware) works (nearly) out of the box with my pads as you and angr77 added basic midi and setup-maps.
2) Will it be necessary to add resistors on some or all input-jacks? I found angr77 using a resistor on the hihat-input for the vh-11. If resistors are needed: Is it possible to get an assembled module with resistors allready installed?
3) I understood that positional sensing is not working on the ride at the moment - is that right?

thank you in advance!

T.

You will still need to configure MegaDrum for your particular pads/cymbals.

Out of your list I can suspect only PD-85/105/125 pads to be possibly "hot". Positional sensing addon, as a side effect, "cools" connected pads on inputs 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 so if you use PD-85/105/125 pads on these inputs then you won't need any additional resistors with them.
I can solder the HiHat input resistor if requested.
3) I understood that positional sensing is not working on the ride at the moment - is that right?

Positional sensing works (and tested by me) only with mesh type pads with centrally located piezo. With other types of pads/cymbals it probably won't work, i.e. positional data will be random.

I cant find anywhere in the forum or our PM correspondence whether I send paypal as as purchase of goods/service or as sending money to a friend. Which one?

Since I am going overseas tomorrow as discussed I will just have to take a guess and order as a goods or service option in Paypal. Anyone online now can tell me?

Cheers.

Payments over Paypal for MegaDrum modules/kits should always be sent as payments for "Goods/Services'.
