As a matter of interest, why can I not change the directory in command. I've moved the files to suit it, but wondered.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

You can, but if the file is not in the current dir you have to provide a full path to it.

OK.
I have the new pc up and running with Kontakt etc.
I have mdfwupate and the .bin file next to each other.
'mdfwupdate megadrumSTM32b_56_20131111.bin' in the run command - no joy

Am I missing something?

Does it really say "no joy" after you run the command?
Did you boot MegaDrum into bootloader mode?
Besides, if I remember right, you already have latest firmware version loaded, why do you want to re-load it?

I think it said something along the lines of, error can't find....

Does it matter which physical usb port I use?

You already had this problem in viewtopic.php?p=25376#p25376 and solved it.
Without more details I can only guess:
1. In cmd you didn't change ( cd ) to a directory where mdfwupdate.exe is.
2. megadrumSTM32b_56_20131111.bin is not in the same directory where mdfwupdate.exe is.
3. You selected wrong MIDI ports.

Well I think this might be the problem. How do I change the midi port?

Or
I have both files in documents. Should I move them further up to just the C/

It asks you to select MIDI ports. See step 10 in viewtopic.php?p=14779#p14779

'cd' to a directory where both files are and run it from there. 'cd' is a command to change directories. See http://www.computerhope.com/cdhlp.htm
Still, why do you want to upgrade if you already have the latest version in your MegaDrum?
